This dish is a great colourful and tasty combo of green and red capsicum floating in
wonderful sweet and hot sauces with Paneer !! This can be served as an entree or as a main course –
It can be eaten with rotis or rice or mixed with vegetable noodles as well!!!
Ingredients to make 6 serves
20-25 Small cubes of Paneer
2 ladles Oil
1 Large Chopped Onion
1 Large Green Capsicum
1 Large Red Capsicum
(Onion and Capsicums do not have to be chopped fine)
2 Finely Chopped Green Chillies
2 Pods Crushed Garlic
2 ladles Tomato Sauce
4 Tbs Soy Sauce
2 Tbs Sweet Chilli Sauce
4 Tbs Hot Chilli Sauce
½ -1 Tsp Red Chilli Powder
1-2 Cups Water (if served as a gravy)
A pinch of Salt (optional as the sauces have the required salt)
Finely Chopped Fresh Coriander leaves fior garnishing
Preparation
Heat the oil in a pan.
Add the chopped onion, garlic, green chillies and fry till the onion turns soft
Stir in the chopped capsicums and cook until tender on a medium flame with a lid for about 5-6 minutes
Add the tomato sauce, red chilli powder, the chilli sauces and soya sauce
Add the water to the above mix and saute for 5 minutes
Garnish it with the chopped fresh coriander leaves.
Note: Chopped spring onions may also be used as a garnishing. If served as an entree, do not add water to the sauce gravy –
Only a pinch of salt is used for the batter as the sauces have adequate salt and no extra salt is required
